Updates from 10/25: Images in the Hub and email conversations
In this batch, the Hub’s Images and videos area gained editing, variations, comparison and favorites, and you can now start conversations by email from SquadOS. Contact deletion also arrives, and Shared files gained per-subfolder access and a single trash.
Images in the Hub: edit, vary and compare
In the Hub’s Images and videos area, every image in Creations has Edit and Vary. Describe what to change or ask for variations, and the original stays the same. To choose between results, use Compare and see 2 to 4 images side by side.
- Favorite marks the images you want to find later, and Tags applies the tags created in Files. The filters show only Favorites, a single tag or a single author.
- Examples fills in the prompt with a starting point (Product, Portrait, Social post, Thumbnail, Illustration or Banner), which you review before generating.
- Improve prompt suggests a more detailed text. The screen shows the cost before the request, and the suggestion only goes into the prompt when you click Apply.
- Quantity goes from 1 to 4 images on any model. Each image is generated and billed separately, and every image model shows a credit estimate.
- Reuse settings brings back the prompt, model, options and references of a creation.
Email conversations
In Conversations, the New conversation dialog gained an Email tab. Pick the email inbox, enter the address and the Subject, and the conversation starts with your first message. On the contact record, Start conversation also offers the email inboxes when the contact has an email address.
If the address doesn’t receive campaigns, because an email bounced, the person marked one as spam or unsubscribed, the dialog shows the reason before you continue.
In email inboxes, each conversation follows a thread: the customer’s reply goes into the conversation of the email it answers, and an email with a new subject opens another conversation.
Contact deletion
On the Contacts screen, each person’s record has Delete contact, and the list’s More actions menu has Delete all contacts. Before confirming, you see how many contacts and conversations are included and type the requested text. Deletion removes the record data, the conversation content and the files, and it can’t be undone.
Progress shows up on the Contacts screen, and you can close it while the deletion continues. Only the counts used for reports and billing remain, along with unsubscribe protections, which keep blocking new messages. If the person writes to you again, they come in as a new contact, without the previous history. When you delete all contacts, contacts that arrive after you confirm aren’t part of the batch.
Shared files: per-subfolder access and a single trash
When you open a folder in Shared files, you can browse its subfolders and see where each one’s access comes from: From the parent folder or Own access. In Manage access, use Customize access to choose the people and departments for a first-level subfolder. The rule applies to everything inside it, including new folders.
The Trash now covers every folder, with one row per deletion and the Deleted by, Deleted on and Size columns. Select several items to Restore or Delete permanently, filter by folder and empty the trash of a single folder. A restored item whose name is already taken comes back with a number in its name, such as “(2)”. Items stay in the trash for 30 days.
Improvements and fixes
- In Personal settings, the Notifications section lets you choose which notices arrive by email: Automations, Webhooks, Disconnected channels, Schedules, Credit balance, Email sending and Suggestions. Your choice is personal and applies to every organization in your account, and these notice emails include a link to that screen.
- In a meeting record, the Meeting minutes and the Transcript have Copy and Download Markdown.
- In rooms, Save message, in the message menu, marks the message with a star. Saved messages go to the Saved tab in Media, links and docs.
- In automations, the Wait step waits For a while or Until a date, which can come from the trigger. The Send email step picks the Sender; without a choice, it goes out from the organization’s default sender.
- A turned-off automation is saved even with incomplete steps. Steps with pending issues are highlighted and must be fixed before you turn it on.
- In the automation editor, scrolling with two fingers moves the canvas, pinching zooms and Hand mode makes dragging move the canvas.
- In Settings, in the API section, when you generate a token you choose What this token can do: Full access or Send emails only, limited to the Allowed senders you check.
- Through the API, you can generate a contact link to the public support page. The link opens the conversation already identified, and the agent receives the email, the name and the data you send. An expired link shows This link has expired.
- On the Free plan, inboxes are renewed every 30 days: the organization owner gets an email with a link to Keep my inboxes active. Without confirmation, the inboxes are paused; after confirming, reconnect each one in Inboxes.
- Every active person in the organization has basic participation, even without a department: they get into the Hub, rooms and meetings and talk to the agents released to them.
- When you connect WhatsApp by QR Code, the inbox is only created after the login finishes, and a stuck previous session is recovered. If the connection isn’t ready yet, a notice asks you to wait and try again.
- Switching tabs, sections or conversations and coming back to the SquadOS window no longer reload the whole screen, and whatever you were editing stays there. Recording audio in a conversation also keeps going when the history reloads.
- In Rooms, joining and leaving a meeting in another tab no longer reloads the room. When you decline switching to another meeting, you stay in the current call without showing up in the other one.
- In a room thread, the agent’s activity shows up only once, next to its message.
- The first message of a new conversation with an agent in the Hub is no longer lost.
- In Conversations, ”/” opens quick replies even after text you’ve already written, and the list goes back to where it was when you open a conversation. With the WhatsApp 24-hour window closed, the Reply tab, which shows Send template, opens again after an Internal note.
- In knowledge bases, a CSV above 50 MB states the import limit, and deleting a base used by an archived agent works again.
