Studio on mobile

The Studio tab shows your SquadOS Studio conversations, the personal assistant that runs on your computer. From your phone you can start a new conversation, follow its progress, answer when Studio needs you, and open the files it produced.

The work still happens on the computer: the phone is a remote control. The history stays on the computer, not in the app.

  1. SquadOS Studio installed and open.
  2. The same account as the app signed in to Studio.
  3. Remote access turned on in Studio’s settings (the “Use the Studio from your phone” section). See Remote access.

There is no pairing code, router setup, or VPN: the computer shows up in the app through your account. Studio is personal, so the tab works even if your account has no active organization.

If the computer is off or Studio is closed, the conversation shows that the computer is offline, and you can only write once it is back.

Conversations are grouped by computer and by the folder (project) where they were created. Each one shows its state: Waiting for you, Running, Inactive, Interrupted, Something went wrong, or Completed. The list can take up to about a minute to reflect a conversation created on the computer.

Conversations archived in Studio do not show up here.

  1. Tap New conversation.
  2. Choose the Computer (only online ones are available) and the Folder.
  3. Write what you want Studio to do and tap Create.

If the app is not sure the request arrived, it tells you and does not retry on its own. Send again may repeat the work; check the conversation first.

  • Send sends the next message; while Studio is working, it goes into the queue.
  • Steer corrects the direction of the work in progress.
  • Stop interrupts the current turn, after a confirmation.

When Studio asks permission for an action, choose Allow once, Allow for this session, Always allow, or Deny. When it asks a question, answer and tap Answer, or tap Skip.

  • Attach a Photo, take one with the Camera, or choose a File, up to 100 MiB per file. If the upload fails, your draft is kept.
  • Dictate records your speech and transcribes it on the computer; review the text and tap Use in draft. Dictation depends on the speech recognition configured in Studio.

In Conversation files you see the folder’s files and can use Preview, Open, Save, or Share. Opening, saving, or sharing creates a copy on your phone: editing that copy in another app does not change the original on the computer.

The Computers screen shows each computer connected to your account, whether it is Online or Offline, and when it was last seen. Disconnect computer removes the phone’s access to that computer; work running on the computer continues.
