First run and accounts

The first time you open Studio, Studio setup takes a few steps: connect an AI account, tell it a little about yourself, and choose the folder where work begins.

1. Connect your AI account

Choose the account you want to use:

• Sign in with your company account (SquadOS account). Your company pays for the models in credits, and the account adds your company’s models, your company’s web research, cloud routines that run with your computer off, memory synced with the web, and your company’s policy and branding. If you belong to more than one company, Studio asks Which company do you want to work in?.
• Use your ChatGPT subscription. It uses the plan you already pay for at OpenAI, such as ChatGPT Plus or Pro. Studio shows a one-time code: Copy code and open copies the code and opens the OpenAI page, where you paste it.
• Use your Claude subscription. It uses the plan you already pay for at Anthropic, such as Claude Pro or Max.

In every case, sign-in happens in your browser and Studio never sees your password. No API key is needed.

If you prefer, tap Connect later. You can connect an account any time in Settings → AI Providers, but without a connected account you cannot talk to the AI.

2. About you

Three quick questions, all optional:

• What should I call you?
• What will you use Studio for? (websites, apps, documents and spreadsheets, research, content, organizing files and routines)
• How much do you use AI at work? (never, sometimes, every day)

The answers go to your Memory and help Studio adjust how it explains things: someone who has never used AI gets step-by-step explanations; someone who uses it every day gets more direct answers.

3. Choose the folder

In Select a folder so we can start working, tap Choose a folder… and then Finish setup.

Studio works directly in that folder: files are not copied anywhere else. You can work in other folders later; each folder becomes a project in the conversation list.

Accounts after setup

In Settings → AI Providers, each connected account shows its state, account, plan, and usage as reported by the provider. There you can also:

• connect another account, with Use my existing account;
• choose which Models appear in the picker and which one is the Default;
• disconnect an account. Disconnecting deletes the access stored on this computer and stops what depends on it, but it does not cancel your subscription or delete files or conversations.

With the company account, you can also Sign out or Use independently, to use Studio without the company.
