Browser and computer
Besides the working folder, Studio can use the browser (open sites and click around) and the computer (move the mouse, use the keyboard and other programs).
Authorize
Section titled “Authorize”You authorize the first time in each conversation. While Studio is using the browser or the computer, a bar stays on screen showing what is in use (Using the browser, Using the computer) and the Stop control button. The bar also shows a keyboard shortcut to stop everything from anywhere.
Sensitive actions in the browser, such as clicking a button or filling a field on a page, ask for confirmation: Confirm or Deny. The tab has to stay in view while you answer; leaving it, switching windows, or locking the screen undoes the confirmation.
Rules for every conversation
Section titled “Rules for every conversation”In Settings → Permissions, Action permissions sets, for every conversation, the Search the internet, Use the browser, and Use the computer lines: Always, Ask, or Never. An action marked Never is refused without a dialog, even with the conversation on full access. See Settings.
On a Mac
Section titled “On a Mac”To use the computer, the Mac needs the Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions for SquadOS Studio, in System Settings → Privacy & Security. If the Mac asks you to reopen Studio, do that before continuing.
